INTEGRITY vs POWER PLAY
The Public Relations Officer of the Ministry, Ismail Garba Gwammaja made this known during an interview with Metro Daily Nigeria on Monday.
It would be recalled that the first suspected case which was confirmed by the state ministry of health occurred in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Aminu Kano Teaching Hospital (AKTH).
Unfortunately, a female Doctor on Houseman-ship, a Consultant Doctor and a female patient who had a caesarean section by the doctors all lost their lives as the woman was said to be the first victim of the disease.
Gwammaja, further confirmed that, the 292 persons earlier placed on the Ministry’s Watchlist are all in good health condition as no one has shown any symptoms of the disease so far.
He called on the public to maintain good personal and environmental hygiene while urging them to avoid contacts particularly with rats and should do everything possible to expel them from their homes.
Furthermore, he said, any suspected case should be reported immediately to government health centres in the state for appropriate measures to further curtail its spread.
