No political party difference in House of Reps under Speaker Gbajabiamila, Says Fred Obua
A serving member of the House of Representatives representing the Ogbia Federal Constituency, Hon. Fred Obua has said there is no political party difference in the Federal House of Representatives under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila as Speaker saying that members are seen as one Nigeria.
Fred Obua said this, when Mr. Speaker presented him with a surprise Birthday Cake in his office after preliminary session in the National Assembly complex on Thursday.
According to him, “I am not used to celebrating birthdays, but I came in this morning with intention of going for preliminary, but Mr. Speaker after leaving the hollow chamber came straight to my chambers to celebrate with me, and for me that is a big honour.
“We have 360 members, I know Mr. Speaker cannot go round all members but for me, he came. For me, it is a great honour and a thing of joy. In the House of Representatives, we all brothers and sisters, we move and do things together, there is no APC or PDP in the House.
“We are one Nigeria, that is one good thing I have come to see, learnt and I will tell our people out there that let them not kill themselves because as you come in here, we are one Nigeria. Nobody talks about parties here, they are just platform, people use to get in here but as you come in here, we talk about one Nigeria,” he concluded.
Ifeanyi Chudi Moma who represents Ihiala Federal Constituency described Hon Obua as his closest neighbor on the floor of the House, a close confident adding that within the few period at House of Reps had toured with him to parts of Anambra State.
Hon. Moma prayed that Obua will increase in health and continue to grow in wisdom, strength and God’s favour just like Jesus in the bible.
